Commercial Playground Site Expectations
Having your site prepared and ready for your commercial playground is critical to the success of your project. There have been times when the project manager did not communicate with the site manager, and King Swings commercial showed up to install a playground in a muddy sinkhole.
That is not fun for all parties involved.
What does King Swings Commercial need to install the playground on your site? What are some rules for a successful installation? Let’s go over the 6 Rules for Your Site.
Slope Requirements
The slope of the entire PlayZone shall not exceed 12’’. That means you need to measure from the furthest point of your safety buffer all the way over to the opposite furthest point of the safety buffer.
If your slope exceeds 12’’, then you must level the area. If you are unsure who to contact, King Swings Commercial offers site leveling through a third party. This service is only available within six hours of our location.
Dips and Rises
Not only does your playground site need to be relatively flat, but it also cannot have dips and rises. This makes it very difficult to get a good, clean install.
Standing Water/Extreme Mud
If you have a cloudburst above your site and there is standing water in or around the playground area, let us know! We will be able to delay your installation to another date. King Swings commercial will not install our playgrounds in standing water or churned-up terrain.
Clear of Obstructions
King Swings Commercial needs a clear, accessible path to your playground site. This means we can’t have AC units, tree limbs, or other obstructions blocking our path. Also, the playground site shall be cleared of bushes, trees, or other obstructions prior to our arrival.
The Site’s Ground
The playground site shall be either compacted dirt or gravel.
Poured-In-Place Rubber Flooring
If you purchase poured-in-place rubber flooring, the above rules and a few additional ones apply.
- There must be a gravel base.
- We must have clear truck access up to the playground site.
- The installation is weather dependent.
Site Rejection, Rescheduling
King Swings Commercial reserves the right to reject a playground site if we deem it unable to support a safe, successful installation.
If King Swings Commercial arrives at a site that we were told is ready but unable to install, we will charge an additional installation fee to return when the site is ready. Your playground will be put back into the scheduling system. If this happens, your lead times will reset.
Build-On-Site and Fences
If you have a site that is difficult to access due to stairs, extreme slopes, or other obstacles, we must do abuild-on-site installation. This is an additional fee of 15% on the cost of the playground. If we have to remove fences to access the site, there will be a $250.00 fence removal fee.
If you have any questions about playground site requirements, please contact our head of installation, Allen. He will be happy to answer any questions you may have. He can be reached at [email protected].
